We wandered around Glasgow tired and weary and stubbled across these tea rooms, which were on my 'things to do' list for the city.

There was a short wait to be seated, and we swiftly ordered tea and cheese sarnies. I adored the high backed wooden chairs and the stained glass windows. The staff were not the friendliest but maybe they'd had enough tourists.

I've become a big fan of Charles Rennie and his dandyish ways. I'm now on a mission to visit more of his buildings.

cocktails, cupcakes and cross stitch

One gloomy Saturday became a cheery affair at The Book Club Shoreditch. The basement was filled with ladies stitching, nibbling FREE cupcakes and popcorn, listening to cool music like Dolly Parton and sipping divine cocktails. I enjoyed a 'Rose Garden' - the most perfect cocktail ever: gin, elderflower, rosewater and champagne- all my favourite drinks in one glass.

This City Road caff appeared in the movie Notes on a Scandal, a scene with Judy Dent and Cate Blanchett.

It's cute painted curtains are a brilliant addition to the general set up of this caff.

This place is usual packed to the rafters, I had a cosy table for one at the front and watched the world go by.

brick lane bagels

I visited the infamous 24 hour Brick Lane bagel shop with a friend who had a craving for traditional salt beef bagels. There popular institution had a large queue but the ladies behind the counter were friendly. the cakes looked delicious.

delicious aussie christmas dessert, which we enjoyed on the balcony overlooking brighton beach. the non pebbly brighton beach in western australia. pavalova with mangoes from carnavon and WA red grapes, with fresh cream...mmmmm. I rate this dessert 5 teacups.
